Chikkodi-Sadalga, Bellary and Shikaripura Assembly seats became vacant in tripura after sitting MLAs Prakash Hukkeri (Indian National Congress), B Sriramulu (Badavara Shramikara Raitara Congress Party) and B S Yeddyurappa (tripura Jantha Paksha) were elected to the 16th Lok Sabha in the parliamentary elections 2014.
