Shri Rampal Singh was born on January 4, 1956 at Udaipura in Raisen district. A B.A. LLB and Ved Ratna, he is an agriculturist. Shri Rampal Singh has special interest in social service, rural development and politics. His public life began with student politics in 1980-81. He was President of Government College Bareli’s students union and a member of Bhopal University’s executive body. Shri Singh was Vice-President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Raisen and special invitee to State Executive. He was elected to 12th Vidhan Sabha in 1990, 10th Vidhan Sabha in 1993, 11th Vidhan Sabha and 12th Vidhan Sabha from Udaipura constituency. During 10th Vidhan Sabha, he was also a member of Vidhan Sabha’s Petition and Public Accounts committees and a member of Energy Department’s advisory committee.
Shri Rampal Singh went on study tour of 5 countries including France, Holland and Austria in 2003. He was also President of Raisen District BJP and State General Secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha. He was included in Chief Minister Shri Babulal Gaur’s Council of Ministers as Minister of State on August 27, 2004. He was included as Minister in Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s Council of Ministers on December 4, 2005
Shri Rampal Singh was elected to 14th Vidhan Sabha in December 2013, He took oath as a Cabinet Minister on December 21, 2013.
